Tungsten Monitor Roadmap

The current Tungsten Monitor implementation offers the following features:

• Simple configuration and service-based operation
• Pluggable check and notifier logic
• Basic check plug-ins for Sequoia and Tungsten Replicator
• Notifiers to broadcast resource status to group communications and to write to a log for debugging purposes

We are actively extending the Tungsten Monitor.  Future builds will add more sophisticated Checker and Notifier plug-ins.  We will also be working to standardize the properties that are reported from particular resource types.  Finally, we will be adding check logic for new resource types, for example for PostgreSQL and Oracle databases as well as the replicators that feed and control them.
