Tungsten Replicator Roadmap
The 1.0 release of the Tungsten Replicator provides reliable and flexible replication:
- Simple configuration and one-command start-up
- Transactional event storage with no slave errors
- Hooks for filtering and transforming replicated data
- Seamless promotion of slave to master using global Xact IDs
- Zero data loss for planned failover
- MySQL statement and row replication support
- Built-in event checksums and incremental table consistency check
- Time delay replication
- Heterogeneous replication to Oracle
- Up- and down-version replication
- Build-in backup and restore with slave auto-provisioning
We are planning a number of interesting features for Tungsten Replicator 2.0. Here are some of the candidates:
- Extensive performance tuning
- Parallel slave update
- Support for replication into generic JDBC targets
- Drizzle support
Check the JIRA for details on each release. You can also post in the forums or mailing lists if you have questions.
