Tungsten Replicator Roadmap

The 1.0 release of the Tungsten Replicator provides reliable and flexible replication:

  • Simple configuration and one-command start-up
  • Transactional event storage with no slave errors
  • Hooks for filtering and transforming replicated data
  • Seamless promotion of slave to master using global Xact IDs
  • Zero data loss for planned failover
  • MySQL statement and row replication support
  • Built-in event checksums and incremental table consistency check
  • Time delay replication
  • Heterogeneous replication to Oracle
  • Up- and down-version replication
  • Build-in backup and restore with slave auto-provisioning

We are planning a number of interesting features for Tungsten Replicator 2.0.  Here are some of the candidates:

  • Extensive performance tuning
  • Parallel slave update
  • Support for replication into generic JDBC targets
  • Drizzle support
