Behavior Changes
In this version, we have made some changes that might affect existing scripts and integration tools. It's essential to review and update any scripts or environments that rely on Tungsten Cluster with these modifications.
Installation and Deployment
The systemd startup scripts now depend on the time-sync service (if available) being started before tungsten components.
Improvements, New Features, and Functionality: Elevate Your Database Management
We're constantly striving to improve user experience and functionality. In this release, we have introduced several enhancements and new features.
INI Option Addition
A new INI option, rest-api-admin-password, has been added as an alias for the existing rest-api-admin-pass option, providing more flexibility in configuration.
New Command-line Tool
We've introduced a new command-line tool called tungsten_mysql_ssl_setup. This tool creates all necessary security files for the MySQL database server, serving as a replacement for mysql_ssl_rsa_setup, which is not included with Percona Server or MariaDB. Additionally, tungsten_mysql_ssl_setup will now be invoked by tpm cert gen mysqlcerts instead of mysql_ssl_rsa_setup.
tpm diag Command Updates
The tpm diag command was updated and now includes the results of the sestatus and getenforce commands.
Bug Fixes
In addition to these enhancements, we've addressed a multitude of bug fixes across various aspects of Tungsten Clustering & Tungsten Replicator, ensuring a smoother and more reliable experience.
